Choosing a Wedding Coordinator
Not all bridegrooms are calm. With their wedding dates coming closer and closer, the pressure of creating the perfect wedding becomes more and more of a reality. There is all kinds of advice that can save a lot of headaches in the lives of bridegrooms! Here's part 1 of what I'll call the "Bride's Manual." First and foremost, your wedding should be an extension of your personality! Every wedding is unique, and yours should be no different! There's no one else out there like you, so your wedding should be as unique as your fingerprint. The first step is to find a like-minded wedding coordinator. The function of a wedding coordinator is to give you and your family members peace of mind and help you handle all the details of your wedding and reception. Finding a really good wedding coordinator is vital to having a great wedding experience. Since this step is a very important first step, let's dive into it a little more... Wedding coordinators tend to be expensive, but if you can afford it, I would highly recommend hiring one. They can help you save money in your wedding and reception since they might have connections to less-expensive rental equipment and services. An established consultant will have a wide selection of vendors and valuable connections. They will assist the bride by knowing who to book and when, providing price comparisons, overseeing vendor contracts, and so on. If you decide to hire a wedding coordinator, be sure to get references first! It would be a bad thing if you got "stuck" with a less-than-helpful coordinator for your special event. Also keep in mind certain things you would want out of a wedding coordinator. A good coordinator will know the needs of the bridge from the planning stages all the way through to the last dance. They should also create a schedule of events and deadlines to assist you and your spouse-to-be in the planning and execution stages. An extra set of hands on the wedding day will be priceless. You will not regret having an extra set of hands there to do the types of things you won't be able to (or won't want to) do!
