How to memorize words in a foreign language
It can be a difficult task to learn new vocabulary words in a different language. Here are a few helpful tips for learning words: * Write them down In fact, write them frequently! The more you practice writing them, the better you'll be able to remember not only what they are but how to spell them as well. * Hear yourself saying them out loud If you repeat to yourself the word you're trying to memorize, you're more likely to remember them later. * Make flash cards with the vocabulary words on them Have a friend or relative drill you. This is a great method for learning new words and remember old ones. * Write the words down on paper, then cut and paste them around the house For example, write the word for "CUP" on a piece of paper and tape it to your cup! Write the word for "MIRROR" and tape it to the mirror! Then, whenever you walk around the house you're seeing each word in that language. |
