How to shop at Target stores
Have you ever shopped at a Target store before? Ever found yourself wondering where all the good deals are? Here are a few tips of how to save good money when shopping at Target: 1. ALWAYS walk the back end caps in the store! End caps are found on the "ends" of each aisle, so a back end cap is an end cap furthest from the main aisle/walkway. End caps are where most, if not all, Target stores put their clearance merchandise. Target stores typically have clearance end caps in each department, so be sure to not pass up the end caps! 2. LOOK OUT for clearance aisles. Clearance aisles vary typically from store to store, but a good amount of Target stores have them. Keep your eyes peeled for these clearance aisles- these aisles are where the deals are to be found! 3. When in the clothes departments, KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED for the clearance signage! The amounts and discounts of clearance in clothes really depends on your market, but all stores have clothes go to clearance at one point or another. Find these sections and scope out the deals! 4. LOOK AT FLIER ADS. Sales can sometimes out-do the amount of discount you would get through a clearance. Also, there are "price cuts" in addition to "sales" and "special offers." A price cut can be temporary or not, but it does the same thing a sale does- discounts the price of an item! A special offer might be the addition of a "free" gift card with purchase or buy one, get one free type of deal. These are all ways that you could save money at Target! Here is how the clearance mark downs flow: *15% off- some items (such as perishable food) first go to 15% off before going to the next step *30% off- most items first go to this step of clearance *50% off- harder to find than 30%, but good deals can be found here! *75% off- even harder to find, but great deals here! *90% off- virtually impossible to find, but some items will go to 90% before being "salvaged." If you find something you like in this category, buy it before it gets pulled off the shelf! |
